Weinstein Company Slams Actresses’ Bid for Chapter 7 Liquidation

Two actresses who accused Harvey Weinstein of rape and sexual assault shouldn’t be allowed to derail an otherwise consensual bankruptcy wind-down of the film producer’s former studio, the company and a creditors’ group said.

The Weinstein Company Holdings LLC urged the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware not to approve a request by Wedil David and Dominique Huett to convert the company’s case from Chapter 11 to a Chapter 7 liquidation managed by a court-appointed trustee.
