Constellation Brands, seller of wines under the Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi label, asked a U.S. appeals court to overturn an NLRB determination the company wrongly ordered a worker to remove a “Cellar Lives Matter” logo from his work vest.
The employee wore the insignia to protest the company’s anti-union efforts. Constellation contends the message, echoing that of the Black Lives Matter movement, was inflammatory and shouldn’t have been worn in the workplace.
