Brigham Young University has apparently agreed to settle a sociology professor’s claims that she was denied tenure and fired for taking job-protected medical leave for the birth of her child, Utah federal court records show.
Kristie Rowley and BYU filed a stipulated motion for dismissal with prejudice with the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah on Tuesday. Judge Tena Campbell granted the motion Wednesday and entered final judgment in the case.
Such motions often are filed when parties have agreed to settle a lawsuit.
