A federal district court in Virginia properly granted summary judgment to Centra Health, Inc. on an employee’s claim that Centra violated Title VII by firing him in retaliation for filing an EEOC charge of age discrimination, instead of for multiple incidents of disruptive and threatening behavior. The Fourth Circuit reasoned that Title VII doesn’t prohibit age-based retaliation claims, he failed to bring a claim under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, he couldn’t bring up new theories of retaliation based on opposition to sexual harassment and race discrimination for the first time in his opposition to Centra’s motion for summary...
