Conagra Nurse Supervisor Ties Firing to Airing of Covid Concerns

Conagra Brands Inc. was hit with a retaliation suit by a former nurse supervisor at a production facility in Council Bluffs, Iowa, who alleges in a federal complaint that she was fired for raising concerns about the facility’s Covid-19 preparations and response.

Danielle Opitz was promoted to the position of health services nurse supervisor at the facility in January 2020, according to the complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa.
