Flight EMS Workers Settle Overtime Suit for Nearly $3 Million

A $2.95 million settlement between an air-evacuation emergency services company and more than 400 flight nurses, flight paramedics, and pilots who brought overtime claims under Kentucky law won final approval from a Kentucky federal judge Tuesday.

The settlement fairly, reasonably, and adequately resolves the class members’ overtime claims, as each will receive payment for the full number of unpaid overtime hours worked, Judge Danny C. Reeves of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky said. The court also certified the class for settlement purposes.
