General Dynamics Gets Employee Bias Suit Thrown Out

A Michigan woman who sued her former employer for race and gender discrimination as well as retaliation, failed to allege she was subject to intolerable conditions or adverse employment action, in part due to the lack of specific allegations in her complaint, a federal court ruled Thursday.

Saundra Bender, a general purchasing senior representative at General Dynamics Land Systems Inc. said she was subjected to different standards and terms and conditions of employment because of her race and gender, including that she received an unwarranted negative performance review, and was placed on multiple performance improvement plans she couldn’t meet.
