Port of L.A. Accused of Conspiring to Tank Enhancement Project

The Port of Los Angeles was hit with a lawsuit in California federal court accusing it of unlawfully conspiring with a union to tank a redevelopment and port enhancement project that was expected to bring in about $59 million in annual profits for the developer.

Harbor Performance Enhancement Center LLC, which names Los Angeles, its Harbor Department, and others as defendants, says it devoted years of effort and resources to push the project forward before it came crashing down.
