Riot Games Sex Bias Pact Totals $10 Million, Court OK Sought

Riot Games Inc.'s tab to resolve claims alleging systemic sex discrimination against female workers in California is $10 million, according to documents filed in Los Angeles County state court.

The “League of Legends” creator settled the proposed class action under the Equal Pay Act and state anti-bias law last summer, according to an August joint statement released by the parties. But the settlement amount was unknown until lead plaintiffs Jessica Negron and Gabriela Downie filed a motion in California Superior Court Dec. 2 seeking preliminary approval of the proposed agreement.
