SeaWorld Sues Ex-Park President Who Left for Dollywood Company

SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. sued its former San Antonio park president in Delaware, accusing him of breaching a noncompete when he jumped ship in September for Herschend Family Entertainment Corp., which operates Dollywood and other theme parks.

In addition to the former executive, Carleton Lum, the Chancery Court lawsuit targets Herschend, which also runs Wild Adventures in Georgia, Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo., and numerous water parks and aquariums.

SeaWorld’s complaint is currently under seal, but the company’s request for a temporary restraining order was filed publicly.
