White House Nondisclosure Pacts May Not Be Valid; Here’s Why

President Donald Trump has a history of subjecting people who work in his orbit to nondisclosure agreements. The practice may have followed him to the White House.

Nondisclosure agreements bar employees from sharing information they learned in the course of the job, even after employment ends. A recent report that White House staffers were presented with, and in some cases, signed nondisclosure agreements that carry $10 million penalties brings to light the limits of the agreements in private workplaces such as the Trump Organization and public workplaces such as the White House.
