A tip-pooling lawsuit brought by casino dealers against Wynn Las Vegas LLC has been dismissed by Nevada federal court because congressional action has gotten rid of the rule that would’ve changed how an establishment pooled and divided its workers’ tips.

Bloomberg Law in Jan. 2018 reported that the Department of Labor had quashed the publication of an internal analysis showing the tip pooling rule would keep tips from workers’ pockets.

The dealers at Steve Wynn’s casinos took issue with the company’s application of that rule, saying that the practice amounted to a violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
