Xclusive $1.5 Million Wage Settlement Wins Preliminary Approval

A federal judge in Colorado preliminarily approved a wage settlement between a hotel staffing company and its Colorado workers, after the parties submitted more detailed information about costs and awards.

The $1.52 million total settlement resolves wage claims brought by more than 9,000 former employees of Xclusive Staffing Inc. that worked in Colorado for Xclusive clients like Hyatt, Marriott, Omni, and Westin. The workers alleged that Xclusive took a $3.00 “administrative charge” out of their paychecks and automatically deducted 30-minute lunch breaks from their work hours regardless of whether they took the break, in violation of the Fair Labor Standards...
