Brazil-Switzerland DTA, Protocol Enters Into Force

The Swiss State Secretariat for International Finance April 12 announced that the DTA and protocol with Brazil, signed May 3, 2018, entered into force March 16, 2021. The provisions take effect: 1) Jan. 1, 2022, for withholding taxes, other taxes, and Article 26 on the exchange of information; and 2) March 16, 2021, for Article 25, on mutual agreement procedures (MAP).
