EPA Offers Additional $5 Million in Brownfield Funding

The EPA is offering an additional $5 million to recipients of its Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund agreements, the agency announced in the Federal Register Friday.

  • The agency is accepting requests for the funding from parties with existing revolving loan fund agreements.
  • The Small Business Liability Relief and Brownfields Revitalization Act authorizes the Environmental Protection Agency to make additional funds available any year, taking the demand for funding into consideration.
  • Federal brownfields funding contributes to the redevelopment of underused properties that may be contaminated.
