EPA Releases Documents on FOIA Policies to Sierra Club (1)

The EPA agreed to turn over documents about its FOIA process and how it changed at the start of the Trump administration in 2017 to the Sierra Club in a settlement finalized Thursday in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

The Sierra Club requested a range of communications, from emails to Slack messages to texts, but the Environmental Protection Agency failed to produce the requested records within the time frame required by the Freedom of Information Act. The group sued for the documents in 2018.
