Logging and Road Construction in Idaho Forest Survive Appeal

The federal government and a lumber company can continue with logging and road construction in Idaho pending a lawsuit by environmental groups seeking to prevent harm to grizzly bears, the Ninth Circuit affirmed Monday.

The Brebner Flat Logging Project, authorized by the U.S. Forest Service and the Fish and Wildlife Service, involves timber harvest and new and temporary road building in the Idaho Panhandle National Forests.
