Trump EPA Failed to Track Emergency Covid Funds, Watchdog Says

The EPA under the Trump administration didn’t do a thorough enough job of managing the $7.2 million it got from Congress in coronavirus relief funding, the agency’s internal watchdog said in a report Tuesday.

The agency had no process in place to do an agency-wide assessment of the risks of waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement associated with the supplemental funding, the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Inspector General found.
