Union Pacific Targeted in Superfund Suit Over Lead Contamination

Union Pacific Railroad Co. and a handful of other companies should pay to clean up lead-contaminated soil near homes in Missouri, a mining and metal production company said in federal district court.

Doe Run Resources Corp. sought to recover the costs of complying with a 2018 consent decree in a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
