VW Makes Final Pitch for SCOTUS Review of Diesel Suits (Correct)

A Ninth Circuit decision allowing counties in Florida and Utah to sue Volkswagen Group of America Inc. over emissions software updates has “sweeping” implications, in contrast to the counties’ view that it’s limited to instances of cheating, the company told the U.S. Supreme Court.

The high court should grant review, VW said in a brief Tuesday, joined by its affiliates Audi of America LLC and Porsche Cars North America Inc., and part maker Robert Bosch LLC, which are also targets of the suit.
