Former Indivior CEO Thaxter Pleads Guilty in U.S. Opioid Case

Shaun Thaxter, who stepped down Monday as chief executive officer of pharmaceutical company Indivior PLC, pleaded guilty in the U.S. to a charge of misbranding the opioid drug Suboxone Film, federal prosecutors said.

  • The plea was announced Tuesday by the U.S. Department of Justice in an emailed statement
  • Thaxter served as CEO of the U.K.-based company since 2009, when it was known as Reckitt Benckiser Pharmaceuticals and a unit of RB Group
