Illinois home healthcare companies must again face claims they violated the False Claims Act by engaging in a kickback scheme to induce patient referrals from a senior citizen support organization, the Seventh Circuit said Wednesday.

A district court’s rejection of Stop Illinois Health Care Fraud LLC’s whistleblower suit didn’t properly consider evidence that Management Principles Inc. and others paid the organization’s employees in return for information about potential Medicare-eligible clients, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit ruled.
