Judge Rejects Opioid Claim Against Foreign-Firm Owners (Correct)

A New York judge threw out the state’s claim that foreign owners of drug companies Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., Endo International Plc and Mallinckrodt Plc were liable for damages caused by the U.S. opioid epidemic, but left intact allegations of wrongdoing against the firms’ American units.
