Amazon, Penguin, Authors Sue Ukrainian Site Over Pirated E-Books

A Ukrainian website described as the “biggest pirate book site the world has ever seen” was targeted in a copyright lawsuit filed by Amazon Content Services LLC, Penguin Random House LLC, and 12 authors including John Grisham and R.L. Stine, in Seattle federal court Tuesday.

Kiss Library and its affiliates “offer ‘unbeatable prices’ for a simple reason: its catalogs are replete with pirated ebooks,” according to the complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.
