Justices Want DOJ’s Stance on Whether Work With No Water Is Bias

The U.S. Supreme Court asked the Justice Department to weigh in on a pending case that asks whether a federal civil rights law covers working conditions of black offshore workers who say they were given outdoor assignments, while their white counterparts worked inside with air conditioning.

The justices invited the U.S. Solicitor General on Oct. 15 to file a brief in Peterson v. Linear Controls.
