Attempted Armed Robbery Conviction Upheld as Violent Crime

An attempted armed robbery is a crime of violence even when physical violence doesn’t actually break out, the Ninth Circuit said Tuesday.

Monico Dominguez had armed himself with a revolver and recruited an accomplice to rob a Garda Cash Logistics armored car, only turning away from carrying out the plan because of increased security around the targeted site.
