New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s appointments for two seats on the state’s highest court are expected to be released “soon,” his office said on Wednesday.
The court has been operating with six judges since the March 23 retirement of Associate Judge Paul G. Feinman, and will be down to five after the June 4 retirement of Associate Judge Leslie E. Stein. Feinman retired citing health reasons, and died on March 31.
The court has since ordered six cases to be reargued for a “future court session.”
