Democrats Say Trump’s Mazars Loss Helps Tax Return Lawsuit

House Democratic lawmakers said a recent court ruling over financial records held by President Donald Trump’s accountants helps their case over his tax returns.

The House Ways and Means Committee is suing the Treasury Department over its failure to turn over years of Trump’s personal and business returns. The litigation, which the Treasury Department wants dismissed, is one of several active cases involving lawmakers who want to review Trump’s financial documents.
