Military Service Bias May Have Blocked Museum Guard’s Promotion

A Wichita Art Museum security guard may have had his promotion bid cut short because of the museum executive director’s alleged anti-military animus, the Tenth Circuit ruled Dec. 3, reviving the guard’s discrimination claim.

A jury could credit Anjela Greer’s testimony that Patricia McDonnell had a history of making negative remarks about Greer’s duties in the Navy Reserves, the court said.
