Prosecutor, City Judge Nominated for New York’s Highest Court

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo nominated the Nassau County District Attorney and the New York City Civil Court administrative judge on Tuesday to fill vacancies on the state’s highest court.

Madeline Singas was selected to succeed Court of Appeals Associate Judge Leslie Stein, who is retiring in June, according to a news release from the governor’s office. Judge Anthony “Tony” Cannataro would succeed Associate Judge Paul Feinman, who died in March shortly after retiring.
