Suspect Dropped Out Window by Cops, Then Tased, Has Suit Revived

Reading, Pa., police officers must face a civil rights lawsuit by a suspect they let fall out of a second-floor window and then hit with a stun gun as he lay unconscious on the ground, the Third Circuit said Thursday.

Jose Peroza-Benitez was awakened when the police executed a search warrant on his apartment in the pre-dawn hours of Oct. 8, 2015. In his boxers, undershirt, and flip-flops, Peroza-Benitez lead the police on a chase over the rooftops in his neighborhood.
